Location - Initial Ideas

These are images from Google Maps. They are our initial ideas of locations for filming our trailer, these are appropriate for our setting as they are in an urban location and are the types of car parks we are looking for. We will visit all four and decide from this which one is the most suitable for our trailer.

Health and Safety Assessment.

Georgia created a health and safety assessment, which shows each persons role in creating the safest environment possible.

Script ideas.

Stacey and I decide both created scripts for our group, we have looked at these as a group and decided to use elements of both to create our final script.

This is my one.

Format
Shooting in DV & authoring in .Mov

Estimated duration

40-45 seconds

Intended audience

Male 15-25 the film will contain violence (rating 15), the trailer could contain less could be 12A?

Synopsis
Protagonist is a man, mid 20's and Caucasian. When he was younger (around 11 or 12), his mother committed adultery on his father, so depressed after the revelation his father kills himself. Now older and still not entirely recovered, he sets out for revenge. His targets are young women (similar to his mother), women he knows are married or in a relationship. He talks to them and offers his phone number/card, if the women take his card, he has his new victim.

Style
Psychological thriller, serious. Non-linear narrative with flashbacks.

Rationale
The research that we did showed that 'thriller' movies are in the top three successful genres on IMDB. Therefore we felt that this would be the more effective in targeting our audiences.

Feasibility
Special effects done on the software mean no specialists will need to be involved. The setting is going to be kept in a local urban area, keeping production costs low.

Budget
Due to limited funds, we may use sponsors and fundraisers in order to be able to successfully create our movie.

Deadline
Friday 17th December

We created our treatment on iMovie for ease as well as showing we are using different types of new media to present our research and planning. I was not available when this video was taken but contributed equally with the rest of the group
on the writing of the treatment.

Costume Ideas - Mind Map.

We as a group decided to do mind maps for characters in our trailers as this would give us a clearer idea of what costumes they would wear.

This is the costume for the woman.
This is the costume for our protagonist in the trailer.

Questionnaire Results

I complied this short questionnaire to find, from our target market, what we should include on our magazine front cover and poster, also, where we would market our product to gain more knowledge of it for our target audience to see.

It is clear from these results that star appeal works to attract our target audience, this is something we will use when making our ancillary products, as not only do our results show that it would work but it is something I have already seen in my previous research of Film Posters. Also, this shows that the internet has become a powerful tool in film marketing.
