Across all of the posters of the thriller genre I have looks at I have seen reoccurring themes across the fonts of the titles. They all use capitol letters which make the title stand out more, as does that titles all have the biggest fonts on the posters. Out of the four posters three use red lettering which has connotations of danger, evil and violence, also being reminiscent of blood. The only one that doesn’t use it is the one for the movie Devil which uses white lettering to make the title stand out more. Also they all are over a dark background, the background shows the serious tone of the movies, but also makes the title stand out more as is looks brighter compared to the background.
